FAQ
-
Are you a wedding planner?
I am a wedding officiant, meaning the one who conducts your actual wedding ceremony. I would be happy to work with your wedding planner on specific details, if you choose to use one, but my role is to perform your ceremonial vows and officially marry you and your partner.
-
How far will you travel for a wedding?
I reside in rural northwest Kansas, and I am willing to travel within 100 miles of Hays, KS, for no additional cost. Travel expenses incurred for weddings farther away are simply to recoup my personal costs. Let's talk further, if you have a destination in mind, and I will be happy to provide an estimate.
-
Are you part of a church or denomination?
No, my ordination is not tied to a particular religious group or denomination. I respect the wishes of the couple getting married, in terms of how much faith-related content you choose to include (or not include) in your wedding ceremony.
-
How soon are you available?
Let's connect and compare calendars. I work full-time, and I consider my ministerial work as a service to the community. I will do my best to be available, but the sooner we can connect, the better.
-
What can we expect from you?
Your wedding is about you and your partner. My role is to facilitate a ceremony that aligns with your goals and ideals. I will be responsive and listen. Let's connect and talk further about your wedding ceremony!
-
Will you preach at my wedding?
If you are looking for a sermon or church service during your wedding ceremony, then you are likely better off going through your church or denomination. I would be happy to incorporate elements of your personal faith into your ceremony, but my role is to facilitate your sharing of vows and pronounce you as spouses, not to preach at the audience in attendance.
